Interior Designer In The House!

April 15th, 2009

Josh is a very independent and loves to do things on his own. He help mommy throw his dirty diapers in the trash can every time we change his diaper and he also put his dirty clothes in the washing machine. He is such a big help. His books and toys have to be done his way or he’ll change it back the way he wants it if you messed with his stuffs. Oh well, its fine with me. He also loves to help with groceries, I have to be quick picking a bag for him to carry. If he decides to carry certain things, it will be the end of the world if I won’t let him carry because the bag he picks was heavy. It was funny seeing a toddler trying to carry a gallon jar of milk on his own but this little man is a fighter, he drag the bag of milk until he get it inside the house.

Last weekend he decided he needs to redecorate my bed, obviously I don’t know how to put my pillows at the right place. After a few times attempt to put my pillows back the way I like it unsuccessfully, I decided to just let him finish with what he’s trying to do. He also think  I don’t need 2 of my other pillows. You can see the finished product of Josh’s design below.

My simple and boring decoration.

 Josh is doing his magic.

 Ta-da ……. It’s done.

What do you guys think? Is it cool to put one of your pillow side ways like that?

Last Sunday, we took Josh to the beach and Brandon our cousin’s son was there too. They had so much fun and completely wipe out by noon. They love playing with the waves and Josh keeps saying “jump” every time the waves getting closer to him. Believe it or not, I had a lot of fun too and no sun burn this time. :)

Josh turns 18 months

April 6th, 2009

Josh had so much fun at Rain Forest Cafe.

Today Josh turns 18 months old. Wow… My little man is not so little anymore. He’s very talkative and tries to say everything he heard. It’s time for us to watch what he’s watching on TV and what we were saying. Thankfully I am not a person who likes to use bad words but living in the U.S, people like to use the “F” word all the time. I am not sure how to handle the situation when the time comes. Any suggestions, Mommy bloggers out there?

A few words Josh can say clearly are; No, Yes, Mama, Mummy (new word as of yesterday), Dada, Elmo, Aiydan, Go, No More, Nenek, Jump, Up, Down, Bath, Poo Poo, Ball, Hi, Hello, Bye Bye, Gabba Gabba and Thank you.

Other words he can’t pronounce properly yet are; Yushz (Juice), Nana (Banana), Ba Ba (Milk or Pacifier), Erk (Yuck), Ek (Egg), Shoo (Shoes) and bunch of other gibberish words.

Last weekend I planned to cook my meals for a whole week. I think it is the best since Josh is growing up and need more of my times. I know for sure that I am too tired to cook my dinner after 8pm because I only can eat after Josh went to bed. In order to eat good foods, I better starts cooking during the weekend for the whole week and freeze it. One of the dishes I made yesterday was “Beef Liver in Black Pepper Soy Sauce” from Salt & Turmeric. You can get the recipe at her blog. I had a sample from this dish….. ok, I have a huge plate of white rice to “test” and it was so good. Josh also have a few bites and seem to like it very much. Thanks to Farina for sharing the recipe. Next, I am going to finish cooking my Sambal Ikan Bilis with Tempe, Sambal Udang and Beef Rendang. Josh was a little cranky and hanging all over me, so I only managed to cook the sambal without adding the main ingredients. Hopefully I’ll be able to get my cooking done by tonight.

Josh Turns 15 Months Old Today!

January 6th, 2009

First of all I would like to wish all of you a Happy New Year eventhough it’s a little bit late (blush). Well, I have been very busy with moving, packing, cleaning old house, unpacking and fixing the broken furnitures all by myself except one. I have to ask Sri’s husband Jeff (thanks Jeff) to help me flip my dining table, it has been up side down for a few weeks until they came over to my house for our little gathering. I did try to do it on my own and almost broke one of the leg and Josh almost broke one of them too. I guess he thought it was a play area or something coz’ he loves to hang on the dining table’s leg and starts shaking it. Okay, enough about my dining table, I will post about our little gathering with some pictures on my next post.

Today Josh will be exactly 15 months old and to tell you the truth I’ve cherish every single second I spent with him. He’s so full of life and the apple of my eye….. hehehe “jiwang” pulak kan? He’s grown up so fast sometimes I wonder how did the time goes by so quickly. Today, it has been 15 months since I gave birth to Josh and guess what? I still can feel the pain after birth…….no, that’s not true. I still can remember the pain after giving birth…. that was after the drugs (epidural) wear off. I got carried away a little bit here, lets not going to the memory lane instead I should talk about Josh.

Last weekend we were invited to my nephew’s son (Brandon) first birthday party and Josh had so much fun he forgot all about mommy. He was so occupied with chasing, kicking and throwing the balloons. One bad habit he learn on his own is rolling on the floor when he didn’t get what he wants. Oh my goodness, thank god the party was at my nephew’s house. I wouldn’t know what to do if Josh did it in public like McD, it will be embarassing when everyone will look at me like I am a bad mother or something. Here are some of the pictures taken, look at Josh…… he looks like he’s a big boy.

Birthday boy (Brandon) - Happy First B’day!!!

Last but not least, we have Joshua’s uncle being silly.

New Update

December 18th, 2008

First of all, thank you to all my families, friends and readers for your kind thought, help, etc. I really appreciates it and right now we are busy packing our stuff to move to our new house.

Speaking of moving, I’ve been dragging my feet when it comes to packing. So much stuff and I hate it. Luckily for me I have some help from my boss, office mate and my hero. Here are some of the pictures of my hero helping me while we were packing our stuff.

BTW, I’ll post more after we’re settle down at our new place. Have a good weekend!

Transition to the next class

November 2nd, 2008

Josh daycare starting the transition for him to go to the next class. I think it is a great idea so the kids can get used to the new class. Josh did so well and they’ll be moving him to the next class by Monday 11/3/08.
A day before they’re doing the transition, Josh cut his gum. They think he bite the big mirror and hurt him. Scared the crap out of me when I saw blood around his mouth, he looks like a Dracula. Thankfully it’s nothing major, HB was upset and want to take him out of the daycare. That’s great but who’s going to watch him because we both working.
The second day he was there, he scrape his nose. They think he scratched himself which is impossible because he has short nails. *sigh*
Yesterday I went early to pick him up, he’s half dress. They don’t even button his pant. On Halloween day, I was really late to pick Josh up. They were supposed to put his costume on and when I got there he was wearing the same clothes when we drop him off. I asked one of the girl why is he not wearing his costume and she think they changed his clothes back. I am not very happy with them right now but not sure what to do. Can’t really afford a nanny. :( Look at my poor baby ……….
