I am new in blogging world and my main reason for having my own blog is for my family in Malaysia to see Joshua’s development updates. I am honor to get this tag from a lovely lady, AndrewJune . Thank you for being my blogger friend and thank you for passing me this tag.

When I got home today, there was an envelope under my placemat from the embassy of Malaysia in Washington DC. Oh no….. what else do they want now? One month after I submitted my application to replace my passport, they requested an explanation letter for the delay in replacing my passport. I mailed it the next day and last month I gave them a call to check the status. I was told it will take up to six months for the immigration to issue me a new passport since it was stolen or lost.

Last October 2006, my passport and my entire id’s were stolen. Someone broke into my car and stole my handbag under my car seat while I was in a bank making my daily deposit. I had my entire id’s (Malaysia & US) with me that day because my passport was expiring and I need to make copies and notarized before I can mail it to the embassy for renewal. I was in the bank for less than 10 minutes, when I came back everything was gone. That was my worst day …… the nightmare began, numerous visit to the police stations, banks, immigration, Social Security office and Drivers’ License office. I am so happy that it’s finally over. Anyway, guess what the embassy want now …….

Woohoo……… my new passport!

Finally……… it only took them 5 and 1/2 months to issue me a new passport. No..no… no… I am not complaining. It is a Happy Friday indeed.

My next door neighbor loves to feed bunch of animals behind our house and every day he will feed the birds, ducks and throw bunch of bread in the lake for the fishes, turtles and alligators too….. I guess. hehehe….. He warned us before if we have a young kid, do not let them play near the lake. According to him, there is an alligator in the lake.

My daily routines after work are picking up Joshua from his daycare, pick-up mail from our mail box and after that we hang out at the back. I informed him what the animals names are and sometimes Josh will have his dinner on the patio, it all depends on the weather.

Last Friday we were hanging out on the patio, I was surprise to see Egret bird at the back of our house. Now, I really feel like we are leaving in a zoo or something ……. hehehehe

There she is right at my back door. Pretty cool, huh!

Brad sent me an email with a video about a baby humor. I figured okay big deal it’s always funny but I never thought that I was going to laugh non stop. My last post I informed that I was planning to cook chicken rice from Gert’s blog and sambal from Farina’s blog for Father’s day but since Brad want to go out so I made it the next day. If you want the recipes please visit Gert’s and Farina’s blog. Farina, the sambal was so good I didn’t get a chance to take the picture. I ate the whole thing, hehehe. I like my chicken rice looks darker than Hainanese chicken rice so I used 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce and 1/2 tbsp light. Here is the picture of Nasi Ayam, I roasted it and brush with some honey. Thumb’s up, Gert. While eating these lovely meals, I can’t stop myself from making bunch of noises like hmm hmmm hmmm with every single bite I took. Brad asked me if I feel like at home (meaning Malaysia) and my answer to him was “almost, dear….. almost”.

This year is Brad first father’s day, we decided to stay at home for this special occasion. For lunch I cooked us some Buffalo Chicken wings. First try and still need to work on getting the right sauce for better taste. Please go to all recipes website for this chicken wing’s recipe.

I was planning to cook Chicken rice from Gert’s blog but hubby want to go out for dinner, so we went to Carrabbas Italian Grill. We love their food but it is quite pricey.

I had Manicotti, it doesn’t look much but it is a lot for me to eat so I had it for lunch the next day.

Brad chooses to have his favorite dish Mezzaluna and he finished it as usual.

 We had a very good time celebrating it just the three of us. Feels great to have our own family and I know one person who always happy to see me everyday is my lil’ man Joshua Arif (Just so some people knows we are a muslim or Islam as you called it. My son’s name is so important for you so please introduce yourself if you still have some manners, dear anon). Remember Josh, you will always be my lil’ man.
