Brad sent me an email with a video about a baby humor. I figured okay big deal it’s always funny but I never thought that I was going to laugh non stop. I just can’t help it, so to all my friends and families please enjoy the video and I wish all of you to have a wonderful weekend and remember “smiles and laughter will keep you happy and make you looks young too. :) Enjoy and Happy Friday!

My last post I informed that I was planning to cook chicken rice from Gert’s blog and sambal from Farina’s blog for Father’s day but since Brad want to go out so I made it the next day. If you want the recipes please visit Gert’s and Farina’s blog. Farina, the sambal was so good I didn’t get a chance to take the picture. I ate the whole thing, hehehe. I like my chicken rice looks darker than Hainanese chicken rice so I used 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce and 1/2 tbsp light. Here is the picture of Nasi Ayam, I roasted it and brush with some honey. Thumb’s up, Gert. While eating these lovely meals, I can’t stop myself from making bunch of noises like hmm hmmm hmmm with every single bite I took. :) Brad asked me if I feel like at home (meaning Malaysia) and my answer to him was “almost, dear….. almost”.

First Father’s Day Celebration

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

This year is Brad first father’s day, we decided to stay at home for this special occasion. For lunch I cooked us some Buffalo Chicken wings. First try and still need to work on getting the right sauce for better taste. Please go to all recipes website for this chicken wing’s recipe.

I was planning to cook Chicken rice from Gert’s blog but hubby want to go out for dinner, so we went to Carrabbas Italian Grill. We love their food but it is quite pricey.

Manicotti

I had Manicotti, it doesn’t look much but it is a lot for me to eat so I had it for lunch the next day. :)

Mezzaluna

Brad chooses to have his favorite dish Mezzaluna and he finished it as usual.

Mr Char-Broil

I was looking for a grill for a very long long time. My husband (Brad) and I can’t agree to what kind of grill to get, I want charcoal grill but Brad want a propane grill. A few months ago at one of my favorite blog CatCat which I visited daily ( addicted like drugs :) ) talked about getting a new grill. Cath advised me to get a propane grill instead of charcoal, after talking to Brad again we decided to go with propane grill. Thanks Cath, you’re a life saver :). If you want some entertainment please visit CatCat; there’s a funny mommy, 2 lovely daughters and also Mr GQ. Anyway, here is our new grill bought it from Walmart for $87.00 , what a deal huh? I saw the same one at Home Depot for $119.00

This grill looks so simple but my god, you cannot believe how much parts you have to put together. I feel like there is a million screws :P So far, we grill Teriyaki chicken with pineapple but I didn’t get a chance to take the pictures. Oh no …….. I can see my neighbor’s backyard, hehehe. I have to move my grill the other way so my neighbor won’t think that I am spying on them :) .

Here’s what I cooked the other day and it doesn’t look as nice as Gert’s fried rice :( If you want the recipe, go to Gert’s blog  and she has all kind of good food. Please make sure you have a lot of tissues to wipe your drools :)

Thai Basil Chicken

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Two nights ago I cooked Thai Basil Chicken, you can get the recipe from My Kitchen Snippets. I forgot to buy yellow pepper so I replaced it with white onion. I also forgot to get some lime and I don’t have anything sour to replace it. It still tastes good even without the lime juice, my husband requested some cashew nuts to be added on his plate. Yummy!

The next day we both brought the left over for lunch and I think it tasted better than last night :) . Thanks again Gert for posting this wonderful recipe.

Clay Pot Chicken Rice

Monday, April 14th, 2008

I have been craving to eat Clay Pot Chicken Rice for years and about a year and a half or two years ago, I found this Clay Pot at one of the local oriental store. I was so happy and I found the recipe at Lily’s blog . While I was lurking online I find out on MyB that I have to soak the Clay Pot for 24 hours before I can use it. I have been dragging doing it until recently and the recipe on Lily’s blog is sooo….. good. Thank you for posting the recipe. I also did try your Apam balik and took it to a friend’s house. I didn’t get a chance to take the picture because it was gone in a blink of my eyes. :)

My next mission is to cook some of the recipes posted on Gert’s blog . Wish me luck, hopefully it won’t take me more than a year before I finally manage to cook it. :)
